Tshoswane finally buried as his 16 children boycott the funeral

The ruling, made by Justice Tshepo Motswagole, favoured Tshoswane’s mother, the 81-year-old Mariam Tshoswane, against the dead man’s children whose mothers never married him.

On Saturday, Tshoswane’s children stopped the funeral proceedings with a court order because they wanted to bury their father in Letlhakeng. His body was therefore returned to the mortuary while the family fought for it in court.

Tshoswane’s children petitioned the High Court for an order to bury him in Letlhakeng where he originated. They also wanted to be involved in the funeral arrangements.

Relief came for the dead man’s mother Saturday evening after Justice Motswagole ruled in her favour.
