Molefhabangwe dumps BDP

Speaking from Francistown in a telephonic interview, Molefhabangwe said he found no reason to submit a resignation letter to the party he joined in 2009. He said his membership has remained questionable, as on several occasions he requested to see his membership confirmation in the BDP database but to no avail.
“I have often enquired about my membership status particularly in the BDP database but could not get answers as to why I do not appear in the system nor the manual files, though I have a membership card that does not resemble my true identity of my membership with BDP,” Molefhabangwe said. He revealed that he has fundamental differences with the party leadership. He cited land issues as the main cause of his unhappiness at the BDP, saying land is the property for all, and not for certain people who own chunks of land.
Molefhabangwe charged that the people who own big chunks of land are actually the same that are selling it to foreigners. “I am prepared to shed blood or kill for land belonging to ordinary people, that they are supposed to benefit from in order to sustain their lives,” he said.
As of now, the once firebrand politician is not saying where he is headed, but speculation is rife that he is retracing his steps back to BNF. In fact his recent appearance at the launch of Kgosi Lotlamoreng II, the Goodhope/Mabule candidate for the Umbrella for Democratic Change in Pitsane had many concluding that he is back at his old home.
