Green Lovers

Green Lovers

Both sides were promoted last season and Green Lovers made a winning start with a 3-2 victory over Nico United of Selebi-Phikwe. The tomorrow’s tie will be Lovers’ first away league assignment, with striker Moatlhodi Ralesotla, who bagged a brace against Nico, expected to lead the attack. Galaxy are chasing their first win after going down to Police XI in the opening match. The team has a number of experienced players who have tasted Premiership action before.

Tebogo Sosome, Boitumelo Mafoko and their recent acquisition Tebogo Sembowa have been heavily involved in the top flight before and their new employers expect them to guide the younger players. Miscellaneous welcome Sankoyo Bush Bucks at the Serowe Sports Complex tonight.

The two teams are looking for their first wins, with Miscellaneous drawing in their first game while Bucks lost to Extension Gunners.

After losing 4-1 to Township Rollers, BDF XI will host Orapa United at the SSKB Stadium on Saturday looking for redemption. Matebele’s quest for three points was boosted by the arrival of Rollers’ goalkeeper, Mwampule Masule on loan.  Still on Saturday, Gaborone teams will face their Selebi-Phikwe opposition as Gaborone United host FC Satmos at the Molepolole Sports Complex and a tough trip awaits Rollers who travel to Nico United. Defending champions, Mochudi Centre Chiefs host Motlakase Power Dynamos at the National Stadium on Saturday evening.

Both teams are yet to lose after a perfect start.  Chiefs won 5-0 against BR Highlanders while Motlakase drew with Miscellaneous. Police XI travel north of Dibete to play BR Highlanders on Saturday afternoon at the Serowe Sports Complex. The Sunday fixture sees former Lobatse derby rivals Gunners and Gilport Lions battle it out at the New Lobatse Stadium.  Kick off for the afternoon games is 3:30pm while evening matches start at 7pm.
