It will have over 100 dishes from 35 countries such as Ethiopia, the Philippines, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, India and Japan.

IFFG coordinator, Lloyd Mwape, told Showbiz that the festival would be a great experience for attendants that might grace the event.

They will have an opportunity to taste the different exotic and indigenous dishes of their own choice.

The participating countries boast of dishes such as Rajma, Sushi, Kifto and Tere Sega. Different types of meats, which include dog, donkey and wild meat will also be dished during the festival.

The different restaurants and stores will also sell the food, which will be exhibited during the festival.

Mwape stated that there will be a mobile clinic that is meant for individuals with food allergies to be attended to immediately if they are to suffer any reactions, “A vomiting area has been put in place in case of such situations”. In food festivals that are held around the world individuals tend to react to certain foods and vomit while others suffer from serious allergies.

Apart from food there will also be a wine-tasting moment. There will also be a showcasing of one of the latest movies in the evening at an outdoor cinema while Disney theme will play for children in their area.

Mwape said they decided to limit entertainment activities so that more attention would be focused on the food.
