On September 5, Kazungula United welcome demoted Premier League side ECCO City Greens in the tourist town.

The former Premier League side recently completed the signing of a South African, Lovers Mofokeng.

ECCO are on a rebuilding exercise having lost few seasoned players in the off-season.  A host of players have been trying out at the club and some might be unveiled against Kazungula, which may prove a hard nut to crack, having fared well last season. Still on the same day, Maun Tigers host Tsabothe FC with both sides experiencing mixed fortunes last season. The league spokesperson, Rapula Gaothobogwe said there will only be two matches on the opening week.

Gaothobogwe told Mmegi Sport the league opener in Kasane would be used to launch the 2015/16 season. “We want to take the FDN league to the people that is why we are launching it in Kasane. There will also be a lot of branding in Maun as part of sensitising people about the league,” said Rapula.

On September 6, TAFIC lock horns with Great North Tigers (GNT) in what is expected to be an exciting Francistown derby.

TAFIC will be eager to start the season on a high (note) having experienced good form on the closing stanza of last season. The club is also said to have secured a lucrative sponsorship, which is yet to be made official and may serve as a confidence booster.  Tonota FC travel to Selebi Phikwe to meet debutants Real Movers.

Movers are a closed book and may cause an upset against a Tonota FC side, which has been inconsistent in the last three seasons. Returnees Sowa Flamingos will be in Francistown where they play TASC, who survived relegation by  a whisker last season.  To maintain their status in the league, TASC had to go through play-offs against Maun Terrors to fill a spot left by Green Lovers who were promoted to the elite league.

Mahalapye Hotspurs, who started last season on a high only to flounder at a later stage, welcome neighbours Palapye All Stars in Mahalapye. The Palapye side was also inconsistent last season and will be looking forward to an improved campaign. did not rule out extension of the deal.
