P6 Million Lawsuit Exposes Medic Doctor

The voluminous documents at the High Court has piles of email exchanges between the specialist doctor and the hospital management, some of which raise eyebrows.

In one of the emails annexed, the hospital management shows the doctor how they have been impatient with him despite numerous troubles he has caused.

In one of the annexed emails, the hospital CEO Ruben Naidoo writes to him to assure that he does not hate him. What comes out is staggering.

“There is a rumour going around that I do not like you and that I am blocking your way, I want to state that I have helped you in many ways, I can mention just a few;

“When the immigration came to fetch you, it was I that settled the situation down. When the Ministry complained about you, it was I that defended you.

In regard to the Eichler case when patient died, we kept your name out of this….There are more than three matters against you where we just swept others under the carpet…When equipment was moved from Karong (whether legally or not) we denied any knowledge (Dr Aziz advised that you return the equipment).

When clinical matters were reported we ignored and brushed it off as jealousy, but you know that I have spoken to you on the fluid management management.

Dr Aziz and I have spoken to you on the billing process as you had our work permits and licence but you still choose to bill funders directly, putting us in an unfavourable situation.

Lastly you went to GPH with our work permit, knowing that this is illegal, you are aware the Ministry could have fined us and taken all our permits away”.
