Lotlamoreng Knows Barolong More Than Molale Sebele

He said it is time for tribal leaders to contest for influential positions in the society.

“We need our tribes to stand with us since the government of today has made Bogosi to be irrelevant. What Lotlamoreng has done is not surprising at all. Different chiefs for different tribes had contested for political positions before and even now. Bangwato chief is the president of this country and Kgosi Tawana Moremi of Batawana is also in Parliament,” Sebele said.

He said Barolong should not be cheated or influenced by other tribes not to vote for their chief.

“Fa Kgosi ngwe e ka tla kwano e bua jalo ba re eng lere ba simolole kwa ga bone,” he said.

Sebele said Lotlamoreng understands what Barolong want than the Minister Eric Molale.

He encouraged Barolong to vote in large numbers and avoid a situation where some people try to influence their voting by giving them blankets, food and cheap radios.

“Ga ke le itse ha le le morafe o kgonang go rekwa ka dijo Barolong, a re se itlhabiseng ditlhong ka go tlhopha ba ba tswang go sele.”

North West African National Congress speaker,Themba Gwabani said tribal leaders are not like ordinary people since they are  advocating for their tribes.

“Political situations nowdays need someone who cannot be easily influenced to betray his tribe. Tribes also trust their leaders than us and therefore I would not see why Barolong will not vote for their chief,” Gwabani said.

Gwabani said tribes should stand for their rights and what they want or feel is their needs.

He said the food that people are given for free in a week in order to buy vote from them will not bring developments to the constituency.

“Le tlhokana le motho yoo ka le buelelang ka ditlhabololo eseng go fiwa dijo mahala,” he said.

Meanwhile Lotlamoreng said he had to stand because he felt the constituency needs someone who understand it very well.

“One had to stand and I felt that it was me. Our constituency is one of the less developed, it has a serious shortage of water, electricity that has not yet connected to other villages. We have villages  with very bad roads,” Lotlamoreng said.

Lotlamoreng’s launch had attracted lot people from different villages, Barolong in Botswana and Mafikeng. Their motorcade had a positive response from different villages.
