It was not a walk in the park though for the Big House, as they had to come from behind in several instances to wrap up the first round of the league against their rivals. It was clear Mafolofolo came to Lobatse with a plan to revenge against Big House because of the 3-1 loss from the previous weekend.

The game started off with Mafolofolo failing to control the ball especially in blocking. Kutlwano took advantage of that to win the first set 25-20. Mafolofolo fought and came back into the match. The side proved to be a tough opponent against the Big House as they found way to punch holes into them.

The side went on to win the second set 25-22.  The win meant the two sides went into recess on 1-1 score.

The win seemed to bring some panic on Kutlwano players as they set their eyes on the third set, which also proved to be tough. Mafolofolo made changes and brought in fresh legs of Oganne for Retshabile. This tactic brought the much-needed energy.

Despite that, Kutlwano utilised the experience that they have with players such as Tracy Chaba and Karabo Molefhe punishing Mafolofolo with loose balls. The two teams went on to play the deciding set that Kutlwano won to walk away with maximum points.

Mafolofolo coach, Kabo Ntshinogang told Monitor Sport after the match that he was impressed with the performance of his players. He said it was an indication that they worked on their mistakes from the last encounter.

“You have to be aware that playing against Kutlwano is always a challenge. There is a lot at stake. I am happy that my players kept their cool,” he said.

Kutlwano coach, Dopp Popo said they had to work their magic to grab the win. He said they did not expect an easy game because Mafolofolo had a score to settle against them. Popo said they had to change their game plan to match up their opponents.

“Our opponents were using outside field and we managed to utilise that to our advantage. That worked for us,” said Popo.
