Babitseng was elected as the vice president administration at last year’s general assembly.

“Following the national team trip to Guinea Bissau, the BNSC found financial inconsistencies and mismanagement of the funds in respect of the trip.

A committee of three professionals was constituted to investigate financial aspect of Guinea Bissau trip,” Sebego told delegates at the assembly.

He said following the report from the committee, the BFA national executive committee (NEC) resolved that the findings of the report rendered Babitseng unsuitable for the position.

“On the basis of the powers vested on it by the constitution, NEC resolved to relieve the vice president administration of his duties. The NEC shall co-opt the position in due course,” he said.

Sebego also cautioned affiliates for taking football disputes to the courts contrary to the BFA Statutes. He said this has placed football in bad light and compromised its image. He said stronger sanctions should be placed on teams that continue with this trend.

“We have structures in place for dispute resolution and these must be followed by all our affiliates,” he said. Notwane are currently in trouble after they took football matters to the High Court and the Court of Appeal. They are scheduled to appear before the BFA disciplinary committee (DC) this month.

Sebego also took a shot at the BFA structures for failing to deal with disputes on time. He said this results with protests and complaints being pushed to the end of the season.

“This must stop. Timelines must be set for resolution of disputes by our structures. And this must be included in the Play Rules and Regulations to avoid delay of resolution of matters,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sebego told delegates that the then looming suspension from FIFA over constituency tournaments is no longer a threat.

He said a working committee composed of the BFA and the ministry of Sport has been constituted to conclude on the regulations and agreed implementation process.

“The FIFA development office will report on the progress of the implementation to FIFA.

In essence, FIFA requires that BFA Statutes should provide for constituency football through the recognition and establishment of the social and recreation football committee,” he said.
