HHP, Mafitlhakgosi headline Gabz meets Bokone Bophirima

The event is the brainchild of South Africa’s North West province. “Botswana is our key source market in the SADC region due to its close proximity to the North West Province, with more than 500 000 Batswana traveling to South Africa annually mainly for shopping, studying and visiting friends and relatives,” reads a press statement from the province head.
The statement noted that most students from Botswana are offered bursaries to study in South Africa, which results in word of mouth marketing that has worked to the advantage of the province since the students spread word about the tourism products here.
The statement adds: “As such the North West Province of South Africa has deemed it necessary to touch base with its regional counterpart on a annual basis with the aim of cementing partnerships. This year, HATAB and Botswana Tourism Organisation will form part of the campaign.”
MCs for the Gabz meets Bokone bophirima event will be Yarona FM’s Dollar Mac and Stoan of Bongo Maffin fame.
