Move halted: Gunners will not be signing Ruzivo

Gunners’ spokesperson, Keorapetse Kgasa said the team had decided against signing Ruzivo as the Lobatse side already has three foreigners, Desire Bafana, Tshegofatso Chimuku and Mogomotsi Mokoka.

“We met yesterday and it was decided that we cannot release any of the foreign players we have. We were interested (in Ruzivo), but the deal has fallen through,” he said.  Ruzivo proved a prolific buy for Sankoyo, finishing among the leading goal scorers with 11goals. He however almost got the club into hot soup as he was declared a defaulter and the team lost three points.  The issue almost resulted in the Maun side being demoted to the First Division North had it not been for the intervention of the Botswana Football Association.

Ruzivo’s contract with the Maun based side ends on August 31, 2015. He featured for Sankoyo at the Kabelano Cup on Saturday. Jwaneng Galaxy was reportedly interested in the player but the deal did not materialise, as the debutants demanded a trial, which Ruzivo turned down. Sankoyo team manager, Odirile Sibanda had denied any knowledge that Ruzivo is leaving, saying that no team had approached them for his services.

Meanwhile, Mmoloki Kafuko who has been instrumental for Ngurungu in the midfield had his contract terminated as per his wish. Kafuko is reportedly on his way to Jwaneng Galaxy.

Kafuko told Mmegi Sport he wanted his contract terminated because Sankoyo management had not paid him the signing-on fee and salary as per the contract. He however denied that he is on his way to Galaxy.  According to Kafuko, there is unrest in the Sankoyo camp as players are unhappy about their work conditions. Midfielder Wabuya Aebe has joined Orapa United as the expected influx out of Sankoyo continues.
