The rapper has previously told Showbiz of the love and respect he had for the departed matriarch who nurtured into adults they are today,  even in difficult times.

In the track, Drama Boi teams up with his sister Katlego who is also a musician and the two musicians went all out to bare their souls in the song. As usual Drama Boi is rapping on all the verses while Katlego is on the chorus with her melodious vocals.

“We wrote and recorded the song the day after she passed away,” intoned Katlego,  who added that their beloved Nkuku’s death came unexpectedly as they had thought she would recover from her illness.

“Our grandmother did a lot of things for us when she was raising us up, she played a major role on our lives,” stated Katlego.

Lyricist Drama Boi is heard on the track singing, “O nkgodisitse o tlhokile/That is one thing I shouldn’t forget fa ke popile/ Le dikgong tse re o rile/ No hard drives ma re memories redi storile/ Never thought that I could see you in a box/ leso gase game ga le x- box”. Drama Boi recently uploaded an emotional post that also had their grandmother’s picture on his Facebook page, which read, “way before all this fame stuff she was the only one who used to call me Baby. “She paid for my first recording of my life when I had nothing at all, She raised Mama and all Mama’s kids but I was her favourite. She used to take me to church every Sunday to keep me off the jungle now she’s gone frown emotion (sic).

“So I wrote her a song that’s going to be my Next Single and it’s dedicated to everyone who done lost special pipo in their lives, hope u love it.”

Katlego agreed that the track is not only dedicated to their late grandmother, but it is also dedicated to people that have lost their beloved ones. “Anyone who has lost their beloved ones can also use this track to pay tribute to them,” she said. The track will be officially released at the end of this month on various radio stations and music applications. Ace J and Remedy from PLMG produced Sala Le Nna.
