Go Hard introduces snap backs

A snap back is an old school adjustable hat with snap buttons on the back. It is popular among hip-hop musicians.

‘Go Hard’ is a brainchild of two youth entrepreneurs, Baboloki Dambe and Baboloki Chakalisa who are both based in Francistown. The label has been in existence for the past three years.

The two initially started selling clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies, crewneck, sweaters, summer pants, vests and beanies. The style of their clothing is mainly associated with hip-hop musicians and their fans.

The duo work with a supplier from China who manufactures their products including branding as per their request.  In an interview with Showbiz, Dambe revealed that they introduced ‘snap backs’ to diversify their product portfolio and cater for the changing fashion trends.

“Snap backs are also proving to be popular in the country among those associated with hip-hop and general fashion lovers, which is why we have added them in our product offering.

“Since we introduced the snap backs last week we have sold a sizeable number of them. Interestingly, even those who are not associated with hip-hop have been buying them in impressive numbers.

“The snap backs are for both males and females,” explained Dambe. He said that they plan to open their own retail outlet as they currently sell their products through Francistown boutiques and directly to their clients. “We have been to South African clothing shops and manufactures on a benchmarking exercise.

“We learned a valuable experience during our benchmarking mission, which is why we intend to open our own retail outlet in Francistown soon. “We also recently introduced a clothing range for kids and we are currently assessing the viability of base-ball outfits as part of our product offering,” Dambe further highlighted.
