Mmegi Sport spotted the lanky goalkeeper training with the rest of the Rollers squad at the Botswana National Youth Centre yesterday afternoon. Coach, Mark Harrison confirmed the capture, but did not provide further details.
It is reported that the coach has made it clear he wants to assemble a strong squad with sufficient depth to challenge on all fronts.
However, spokesperson, Bafana Pheto said they are still negotiating with the player and said both parties are very keen. The club is expected to announce further details on the deal. The Gaborone giants had a barren campaign last season finishing trophy-less as bitter rivals Mochudi Centre Chiefs snatched the league title while the Mascom Top 8 honours went to Gaborone United.
Dambe is expected to add steel to the already impressive line-up of Rollers goalkeepers that include Zebras team mates, Noah Maposa and Mwampule Masule while the young Keagile Kgosipula might be sent out on loan or sold outright.
Rollers has been active on the transfer market, luring Galabgwe Moyana from Chiefs while Mogogi Gabonamong returned from a lengthy stint in South Africa.
Carl Finnigan has joined from the United Kingdom, raising hopes of a better campaign ahead for the blue half of Gaborone.
