‘The rain is coming’ has already reached 5,000 downloads within its first week of release and Mr Molzz says he aims to reach 100,000 downloads in four weeks.

Speaking to Showbiz about the song, Mr Molzz said ‘the rain is coming’ means that a financial breakthrough is coming.

“People are confusing me for a prophet because of the song, but it is just a promotional track to motivate people that very soon everything is going to change for the better,” he said.

The emerging artist said he has been sharing his single through whatsapp, twitter and Facebook. He said fans should expect the video soon as he was currently engaging ATI to direct the music video.

“I am not a big artist yet. With this song, I am trying to show that I am artistic and different from other hip hop artists,” he said, tongue-in-cheek. Mr Molzz indicated that he had been trying to get funding from various stakeholders but so far nothing has been successful.

He however said he hoped to one day succeed in his music endeavours. ‘The rain is coming’ was produced by Beats Layer, distributed by No Need to Rush and marketed by Justice Hubane.

Mr Molzz said his plan is to remix the song and he would feature big artists like Sasa Klaas, Samantha Mogwe, Dramaboi, Vee and many others.  Mr Molzz indicated that the song is targeted at audiences aged between 18 and 35. “I chose that target group because they are mostly the youth and they all want to be successful before reaching 40,” he said.

He said after performing at Kabelano he intends to perform his music in schools all over the country. “I also want to go corporate and motivate others at the same time,” he said. Mr Molzz who goes by the handle @MrMolzzay on Twitter said to him it’s not about being the best, but it is about being better than yesterday.
