Chiefs’ spokesperson, Clifford Mogomotsi told Mmegi Sport that they would reveal their signings at the charity cup.  “It will be risky to reveal names at the moment because negotiations are still ongoing,” he said.  Mogomotsi said nothing was concrete at the moment, as they have not concluded deals with targetted players.

“We have offered a number of players contracts, but we are yet to decide on them,” he said. Mogomotsi said he could not reveal details to the media as that might jeopardise negotiations.  The defending champions have been linked with a Zimbabwean defender, Charles Mutero, former Nico and Platinum Stars striker, Patrick Kaunda, released Gaborone United duo of Tebogo Sembowa and Jackie Mothatego.  Gomez Mkhadawira, a striker from Zambia and two unnamed local youngsters are said to be on trials at Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Township Rollers have been linked with former prodigal son, Joel Mogorosi who was released by Bloemfontein Celtic last season together with Mogogi Gabonamong.

Rollers have since captured the big signature of Gabonamong while it is not clear about Mogorosi. Former Chiefs winger, Galabgwe Moyana has also been linked with the former champions.

Rollers have already signed Carl “Rocky” Finnigan from Gateshead FC (Newcastle, England).
