Apparently, for Green Lovers, it seems they are becoming victims of own success.

Coach Othusitse Kootswele said Gunners have signed key midfielder, Pako Goaforwe and are interested in two others; Ignatius Ramasaka and Moathudi Ralesota.

“My team is unsettled. We are trying to keep our core players, but Gunners keeps knocking at the door.

“They have already signed Gaoforwe who was the heart of our midfield last season.

He is the only player we have released.

“They have also shown interest in our defender, Ramasaka and striker Ralesota, but we cannot afford to lose these two players,” he said.

Green Lovers’ feat was made all the more remarkable by the fact that they largely relied on raw talent.

Kootswele said they would not be looking for any experience as they prepare for their maiden season in the beMOBILE Premier League.

“We are not looking at any experienced players. Experienced players are usually difficult to control because they have their own mentalities.

“We want players who have the hunger; players that will want to prove themselves.

“We have identified a few talented youngsters from the First Division to bolster our charges. We are about to complete the signing of a defender from Palapye United.

“We are also to sign attacking midfielders; Doctor Radipampiri from Tsabotlhe and Ofentse Omphemetse from Maphatshwa Club.

“We are still looking at other boys whose names we cannot disclose at the moment.

All these boys are raw talent, but they are very good. I am very confident they will surprise a lot of people,” Kootswele said.

He said their biggest challenge since promotion was adjusting to Premier League requirements.

“We had a bit of a problem with the demands that comes with the promotion. Setting up an office and preparing players’ medical records are a huge challenge for struggling sides like ours.

“It would be a lot easier with sponsorship, but it is not easy to get that.

I think in future the Premier League should look at providing mobilisation fund for new teams,” he added.
