Stanbic stages nomads golf tourney

This was the 15th annual Nomads National and the second consecutive year sponsored by the bank.

The tournament attracted over 200 golfers, hailing from countries including South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. They played alongside some of Botswana’s very own golfing talent, including representatives from Stanbic Bank.

“Our relationship with Nomads continues to thrive, and is premised on a mutual understanding not only of the importance of collaborative efforts for the benefit of the community, but of the importance of strong, sustainable relationships,” said Louis Van Ravesteyn, acting head of personal & business banking at Stanbic Bank Botswana.

“Nomads over the years have donated close to P1, 200,000 towards various worthy causes and it is a pleasure to do it with great partners like Stanbic Bank,” said Itamar Azoulay, national captain of Nomads Botswana.

Nomads Botswana is a members’ only charity organisation consisting of 140 golf-playing members, many of who participated in the national tournament. The organisation hosts monthly games and tournaments, the proceeds of which are given to local charity organisations. Membership comprises leading executives and successful business owners.
