Well-appreciated by gospel music lovers of every age and background, Vusi proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is a talented performer.

The sensational artist recently signed a three-year deal with Brave Heart and they were solely responsible for the live recording.

The stage setting, the lighting, the colour theme and the sound were out of this world.  Recording alongside a five piece live band, Vusi arrived dressed up in blue and white, swirveling around the stage among a sea of uniquely clad back-up singers.

He belted out a slow praise song to create a smooth atmosphere, before setting the stage on fire.

He then fired up the place and reminisced the audience by performing the fast version of his hit Sefofu from back in the days when he was still a teenager. Vusi continued on that momentum and put in more power into his performance, spicing it up with energetic dance moves that complemented his powerful singing voice.  After this upbeat set, he then performed a laidback praise song to appreciate the Lord to allow his fans to recover from the dancing.

The talented singer then performed the song Sediba that started on a low note only to explode into a faster tune. People couldn’t sit down and seemed to enjoy the performance because Vusi put emotions into his singing. He later altered into a much deeper mode when performing kenale modisa and as the song went along he asked the audience to hum along with the backup singers.

The backup singers got the chance to showcase their individual strength with an amazing continuity when the man of the moment went backstage to change. Vusi returned on stage clad in black and white, to wrap up the recording night.

A man with a self-confessed troubled past; Vusi performed a song, which he said requested the Lord to put everything back into place.

In the touching song, he calls out to the Lord to restore peace in his life and allow him to live happily.

He also sings that there was a time when nothing in his life seemed to be going well, but when he allowed God into his life, things changed for the better.  Perhaps the song that got the audience to cloud nine was the performance of hallelujah amen.

“When you begin to know that the glory of God is here, certain songs comes to your lips,” he said. At the end of his performance, Vusi thanked everyone present for attending the live recording.

“I am grateful to Braveheart and this is the beginning of greater things in Botswana,” he said.

What possibly sets Vusi apart is his ability to swiftly switch from a slow tempo song to a danceable upbeat track. By giving gospel music lovers the first ever DVD and CD live recording experience, he may as well has created a legacy for himself.  Universal Records from South Africa will distribute the recorded DVD and CD.
