Kemoeng to replace Masters?

Kemoeng is expected to be announced as the new CEO to replace Keith Masters who left in February after two years at the helm.
Masters made history when he was appointed the first expatriate BFA CEO in 2013 when he replaced Duncan Kgame. BFA president, Tebogo Sebego said yesterday they had not made a decision on the CEO and refused to disclose names of those who have been shortlisted.
“We have not yet made a decision. We have shortlisted candidates and we expect to make an announcement before the general assembly,” Sebego said.
The BFA holds its assembly early next month.
Kemoeng could not be drawn into discussing the matter saying it a confidential issue.
“We have not agreed on anything. There are issues of confidentiality involved so I am not at liberty to discuss the matter,” Kemoeng said.
After leaving BNSC, Kemoeng has been involved in sports consultancy and was appointed Botswana Africa Youth Games Organising Committee (BAYGOC) chief operations officer in 2013.
He enjoyed a lengthy and largely successful period at the BNSC where he had risen through the ranks.
However, if he joins the BFA he will be tested against a backdrop of high turnover of CEO’s at the soccer mother body.
The BFA has had at least six people in the position in the last six years, including two brief stints from Duncan Kgame and Judge Mookodi.
Kemoeng has been visible of late at football functions, being awarded the chairpersons award during the beMOBILE Premier League awards while he was involved in the Mascom Top 8 awards as well.
