After a dusty and cold afternoon of watching the race, revellers then went on to enjoy entertainment from a number of artists, while awaiting Khumalo, who was the main act of the night.  As she stepped onto the stage, the crowd brought down the front barrier to come closer to the stage, almost causing a stampede.

The hunger from the crowd ignited sexy moves from the half-nude singer. After performing three songs, Kelly wrapped up her performance with the hit song Asine, but the crowd expressed dissatisfaction after the song was cut short.

As Kelly made her way out of the stage, the crowd chanted for more of her act. With the crowd calling her name and time already having elapsed, Kelly returned to the stage and performed Asine one more time.  Even after the second Asine performance, Kelly’s legion of fans still wanted more. Perhaps what the songstress did not realise was that most of the fans wanted her to perform the house version of the song mixed by a local turntables man,  DJ Bino.  After the show, vocal fans expressed dismay at missing out on the house version tune. Kelly had a stage presence and the ability to heat up the venue on a chilly night, which made the crowd yearn for more.  With the exception of a short performance, Kelly, alongside her energetic dancers, encapsulated the desert race festival in style.

For the desert race revellers, the night was not all ruined looking at the performances that came earlier that night.  Local DJs who included Sly, Shaboo, Oats and Kenzi, just to mention a few, were on top of their games. They did it for everyone including people who were hanging outside the Jwaneng Town Council Stadium.

Shumba Ratshega among others was there to bless the crowd with his controversial lyrics. The Ke Thala Dinte singer performed few songs from his latest offering including a fast house kwasa track.  Culture Spears also performed few songs from their new album. With some new faces on stage, Kabelo Mogwe and company still managed to pull off a good performance.  South African group Camali also did their best to set the stage on fire with their energetic dance moves despite being relatively unknown locally.

DJ Merlon and Mondli Ngcobo were also in top form as they performed Koze Kuse. The talented singer Ngcobo made the performance interesting by personalising the song to add, Jwaneng and the Desert Race. All in all, the desert race festival was well organised and an undisputed crowd puller.
