Team Distant starts �Sax on the floor� tour

This is their first single of the year and it features South African actor- cum- musician, Kagiso Modupe who plays Mangi on Scandal and House music outfit African Roots.
Team Distant band member, Afro Zest has said that the group has already started performing at various venues around Gaborone.
“We are still in the capital city for now, dates for the country tour will be out next month,” he revealed.
The tour started with a show at United Lounge on Saturday night. The group is billed for another performance at the upmarket Cigar Lounge where they will share stage with different DJs such as Zo Harvey, Teaz and Happy.
Their second performance of the weekend will be at Campers Extension 10, on Sunday which will be an admission free event dubbed Chisanyama session.
“Team Distant fans should expect the best performances during the tour. Our sound has matured.”
Sax on the floor is quite different from the Team Distant style, this time around Roy K, the band vocalist does take the back seat as Modupe leads with the Tsonga vocals.
These past two years have seen Team Distant emerge as a leading house group that earned them accolades and several shows.
They performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Africa Youth Games.
