Products on show included visual arts, pottery, health products, locally made drinks, fresh produce, and different cuisine among other things.

Artists Tsholofelo Thabo, 39, and Sello Setlhare, 36, exhibited their wire made sculptures.

“We use wire and beads to design animal sculptures and trees. Tourists are the ones who mostly buy our products,” said Thabo.

The duo, which does not have any formal training in arts, said that it was their first time to exhibit at the market and were happy to get exposure through the exhibition.

Another exhibitor 24-year-old Portia Keatametse, who makes body lotions, soap, hand and body scrubs said: “I am glad to have come here and this gives me the opportunity to make people aware of my products”.

The Public Relations Officer (PR) of the Rotary Club of Francistown, Dominique Raguin, said that the event was a success.

He added that the number of exhibitors also increased as compared to the previous years.
