Harrison arrived in the country yesterday afternoon after he quit Zimbabwean giants, Caps United on Monday.

Rollers chairperson, Walter Kgabung told Mmegi Sport they have signed a one year contract with Harrison who has also coached in South Africa.  Kgabung said the contract is performance based with an option to renew for a further two years.

The coach is expected to restore glory days at the former Premier League champions that finished the 2014/2015 campaign empty handed. They surrendered the Premier League title to Mochudi Centre Chiefs and lost in the final of the Mascom Top 8 to Gaborone United.

Kgabung said the club wanted an individual who could take the team to the next level.

“We wanted to raise the bar higher hence we wanted someone with good qualifications and who  is also a sport psychologist.

Harrison has also attained a UEFA A licence and he has a Diploma in Football Management. That is the kind of a coach we wanted,” said Kgabung.  Harrison has been a head coach at Bay Stars in South Africa during the 2012-2013 season and went on to join Chippa United in April the same year.

The British went on to become the head coach of Golden Arrows in October 2013.  Kgabung said Harrison would start his job immediately after his work and residence permits have been approved.

He left Caps United after 13games and endured a torrid stay as the club battles financial challenges. At one stage the team failed to fulfill a fixture as players went on strike over unpaid salaries.

But Harrison had done relatively well as the team was in position seven with 20points, nine off the pace.  At Rollers he is expected to breathe new life to a side that laboured to the finish line despite heavy spending in January.
