Decision time: Moyo

Decision time: Moyo

He joined Letlapeng at the beginning of the second round, replacing Daniel Nare. Letlapeng chairperson, Sydney Magagane told Mmegi Sport that Moyo’s contract expired on May 17.

He said the board would decide whether to keep the coach or not. Magagane disputed that Moyo was fired, adding such a decision can only be taken through the involvement of the board.  “We were to sit down with him at the end of the season and map the way forward, but that has not happened.

“It means we should now look somewhere else because it is clear he is no longer interested in working with us,” said Magagane.

For his part, Moyo said he was owed two months’ salary. He said nobody from the team’s management has explained to him the cause of the delay.

Moyo said he was interested in coaching Letlapeng if given a better offer. He said it was ideal to join a club in the pre-season to enable him to plan for the season.  Meanwhile, Magagane said to his knowledge, Moyo is owed a one-month’s salary.

He said Moyo is not the only one owed as the club is waiting for its prize money from the Premier League.

He said the Premier League delayed the release of funds due to protests, which forced the season to overlap.

Magagane said the log standings were not released on time. Letlapeng has relegated to the First Division South League after a short stint in the Premier league.

The Ramotswa outfit played 30 games, winning five, drawing on five occasions and losing 20 times.

The side went down with 20 points.
