The track, which is ATI’s second single from his upcoming album, was scheduled for release last Wednesday, but the rapper announced on social media networks that the date has been postponed.

The artist also sent Showbiz a statement saying, “It is with the utmost remorse our task to announce that ATI’s highly anticipated second single from his upcoming album (Envelope) will not be dropping on June 10, but has been rescheduled to (drop) July 15, 2015.  We apologise for any inconveniences made”.

While ATI is mum about his reasons for the postponement, sources say the rapper was not pleased with the quality of production hence he decided to re-record it.

“Quality products is what we give the Batho Bame community as opposed to staying relevant all because we thrive to steer the trends,” the controversial rapper said in his post.

ATI has been aggressively promoting his upcoming album.

As part of his promotion, he engaged with artist KweziDidIt who did a graffiti portrait of ATI that has been circulating on Facebook and Twitter.

He has since released a cover track of the 1990s hit track, Get Me Home by Foxy Brown and Blackstreet.  The song was released on Sunday afternoon and distributed on the different platforms.

The musician says the cover track, which is sung in both in Setswana and English, would give fans a synopsis of what to expect from Cassette.

ATI has been working with a number of musicians and producers such as Favi, Spryt, Lif Aman and RRisq on his new album.

He has described the sound and structure of his upcoming album as “relaxed and for the first time, more feel-good”.
