Waiting for a new man: Rollers are expected to announce new coach today

Kgabung said they were almost done with the process of appointing a coach who will take the side to the coming season.

He explained that they have received many applications for the position (not stating the number), but revealed that Ndlovu did not apply.  He stated that he was not in a position to reveal the front-runners for the position.

He explained that the appointment of the coach is part of the preparations for the 2015/2016 season.

He said the players reported for duty at the club yesterday except Manqoba Shakes Ngwenya. “We are waiting for the return of Ngwenya.

All our players reported for duty including those who have been on loan at other clubs. It is up to the technical department to decide if they will keep the players or loan them out again,” he said.

Kgabung said this week the players will be going through medical check ups and next week they will start physical training.

The side has parted ways with Godfrey Ngele, Michael Pepukani, Pako Lekgare, Dirang Moloi and Lesego Molemogi.

He said Pepukani requested to be released because he was not getting enough match time.

Kgabung said Rollers is interested in getting the services of a left-winger who will be assisting Kobamelo Kebaikanye. The side is also expected to sign a central defender and a midfield.

Kgabung added that they have not identified anybody at the moment because the transfer window opened on Friday.

Kgabung said Rollers would use Kabelano Charity Cup as part of preparations for the new season.

Meanwhile, Rollers has been invited to participate in the Bokone Bophirima Maize Triangle Challenge on July 11 at Moruleng stadium.

The Gaborone giants have been drawn against Platinum Stars in the first semi-final. The other semi-final will be between Bloemfontein Celtic and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
