The comedy show features South African comedians Kagiso Lediga, David Kibuuka, Tats Nkonzo and local comedians, Rib Cracker, Phenyo and MaWee.

All the comedians in the line up have featured in high profile comedy shows both here and in South Africa and are highly regarded in their respective countries.

Show coordinator, Incepta Communications managing director Thabo Majola told Showbiz that hosting such an event is a demonstration of comedy growing in the country and emerging as a big force in the world of entertainment.

“We thought it would be an excellent opportunity for us.

All the comedians performing are crowd favourites,” said Majola.

All the comics performing on Saturday night have one thing in common: They are famous for cracking jokes based on current affairs and everyday life, which makes it easy for their crowd to fit. Their subject material includes trending political and economic situations. The three South African comedians are well known for featuring on the satire Late Night News with Loyiso Gola.

They have also featured in a number of stand up comedy shows. The local stars Rib Cracker, Phenyo and MaWee have been touring around the country hosting a variety of comedy gigs.

Tickets for the two-hour show that is scheduled to start at 7pm are already on sale at shopping outlets such as Spar, Web Tickets online, Web Tickets kiosk at Riverwalk and Maitisong Theatre.  The ticket prices range from P200 to P450.
