Bonngwana is a Hip Hop track with a feel-good sound different from Chrome’s party songs such as No Track Ya Summer (NTYS).  The sound is a bit laid back and more commercial. Chrome released Bonngwana early this month.

Born Johannes Mangole, the 26-year-old rapper stated that after receiving a lot of praise and love from his female fans he decided to pen a song that celebrates them as a way of thanking them.

“Bonngwana simply means women.  In the song I am not only celebrating women but also giving them advice to stay away from loose morals.  A woman with loose morals is not a beautiful woman,” he said. Producer Fat worked on the single at Bang Gae Records.  It also features fellow rapper Daddy Deuce who was also a heavy influence to the song.  He revealed that Bonngwana is already on different radio charts.

Chrome mentioned that this is the first single for his upcoming EP, which he is planning on releasing before the end of the year.   The track is also available on different social networks for free downloads.

“I am well-known for party songs, but the sound on the upcoming EP will be different.  There is a lot of punchlines and the sound is different.  I call it feel-good music,” said Chrome. However, the rapper who has been in the music industry since 2010 expressed his disappointment at the local Hip Hop industry and some of his fellow rappers.

He stated that the industry is growing, but some rappers are not following the proper procedures such as marketing their music. “We still have rappers that are scared of coming up with their own style and sound that will make them different and significant from other rappers,” he said.
