They will join other winners from across the globe in Tbilisi, Georgia from June 1 to 6, 2015.

Ballout’s luck began after she was crowned Little Miss Photogenic, a special award in the local competition, which gave members of the public an opportunity to vote through social media.

The award meant that the 11-year-old queen automatically made it to the top 10. On the other hand, her first runner-up Baleseng did not only walk away with just one title as she also won the Little Miss Congeniality title.

Her confidence and intelligence led to the judges giving her the second prize. In an interview with Showbiz, the director and founder of Little Miss Universe Botswana, Tebogo Lebanna, said Ballout and Baleseng would be joining more than 40 contestants from different countries.

“We have only three African countries competing for the international crown.  Those countries are South Africa, Botswana and Nigeria.  There are still more children being introduced because some haven't had their national finals yet,” she said.

Lebanna said they are sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Cresta President Hotel, Incredible Works, Grand Palm Hotel and Casino, Blue Tree Golf Estate.

Little Miss Universe was founded in 2005.  The pageant was created for boys and girls who compete in different age categories for the crowns of Little Miss Universe and Little Mr Universe.

The pageant seeks to encourage cultural exchange, widen children’s outlook, and promote love and friendship between people of different races and nationalities.
