CCB will make their first stop at SABOLE (South African (SA), Botswana and Lesotho) in Lesotho when they leave on Friday.

Once there 78 members are expected to perform at Lehakoe Recreational Centre Hall the next day.

According to CCB chairperson, Tiisetso Masasa, the three countries had decided to come together and tour all the nations.

The Botswana concert will be held on July 25, 2015 while the last show would be conducted at SA later on August.

“Clap N’ Tap Choirs in these three countries came together and came up with SABOLE.  These groups came together with the same objective and dedication to promoting recognition of clap n’ tap music, while we also preach the word of God through song,” he said.

He said that Mahube Express would be sponsoring them with transport.

One of the sponsors is PPC Cement Botswana.

Masasa added that last year, CCB hosted the annual clap n’ tap concert at Westwood International School hall where their guest speaker was Solly Reikeletseng who donated P15,000.

He further said the group was committed to assisting youth to choose the right path, adding that the youth participating as choir members or attending festivals has the potential of discouraging them from engaging in destructive behaviour.

He said their music was loaded with motivational messages.

Masasa also said youth who attended the festival would be inspired and motivated by the positive messages in their songs, which encourage behavioural change.

He said they intentionally did this after realising that youth is bedevilled by several challenges, which include substance abuse, high pregnancy and HIV/AIDS infection.

“We will still host CCB annual concert and promise that it will be much bigger and better.  We intend to attract more people to our concert later this year,” he said.
