They are now forced to score in Zambia after giving the visitors an away goal.

The visitors looked superior tactically and pressed the Young Zebras, leaving their midfield exposed. The Young Zebras looked like they had stage fright and wasted numerous corner kicks. They were dealt a heavy blow when defender, Bogosi Kaekwa was pulled out because of injury. Coach Davis Kopi replaced him with Kennedy Taukobong.

Zambia’s goal came in the 57th minute through Jackson Chirwa. Shadreck Malambo gave Young Zebras a torrid time and delivered dangerous crosses but Young Zebras’ goalkeeper, Goitseone Phoko managed to deal with them. Young Zebras started gaining confidence in the middle of the second half in search of an equaliser. Emmanuel Machinya made way for Onkabetse Makganthai who brought more life to the game. Chipolopolo also brought in fresh leg, removing Patrick Ngoma and replacing him with Lubambo Musonda.

Unotshaba Mbaiwa equalised for the Young Zebras in the 69th minute following the goalkeeper’s failure to hold onto the ball. The Zambians tried Phoko several times in search of a winning goal, but found him in good form.
