The five names of the teachers marked for death are written on the entrance of the boys’ public toilets and the late teacher’s name has already been crossed out, an incident that has left both students and teachers at the school horrified. On Saturday the school called a meeting with parents where the issue cropped up.
The leadership has also acted by reporting the unusual incident to the nearby Urban Police station to come and investigate who could be behind the hit list, after attempts by the school to do so hit a blank, after some teachers apparently expressed fear of being added into the hit list.
On Friday the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) at the Urban Police station started taking photos at the scene for forensic investigations. Urban Police station commander Superintendent Charles Mbengwa confirmed to The Monitor yesterday that his team will be back at the scene today and possibly round the students up to see what they can gather.
The Monitor is informed that the school teachers have not been able to identify the hand writing but there are suspicions that a gang could be involved in the horrific writing.
Inquiries by The Monitor have unearthed fear among the teachers and student community of certain individual students who seem to possess divine powers which cannot be explained.
The Monitor sources say incidents of students behaving abnormally due to certain spiritual backgrounds are common in the school, while some claim a black bible, the Bible of Satan, had been seen circulating among the students before.
