The mystery of heaven and immortality (Part 1)

And as we will duly find out in this two-part series, this outlook stemmed primarily not out of theology but from ill-understood elements in so-called mythology.

“Mythology” tells us that the ancient gods that ruled mankind claimed two major things; that, firstly, their true home is in the heavens and, secondly, that unlike us they were “immortal”. All this, of course, is orthodoxly regarded as pure myth, but we will duly unpack the real history behind these claims and show how, even now, they still impact.

Let us begin with the root, the proper etymology, of the term “heaven”. In typical fashion, we will once again demonstrate that it cannot be fully unpacked without the use of Setswana – which is precisely why the etymology of the term is still ill-understood. Firstly, we will need to understand that some Bantu language groups use the consonant b instead of v for cognate (similar) words. As such, the verb “open” is bula in Setswana and vula in Xhosa. And since, in other work, I have offered pioneering proof  that Setswana and Sumerian, the oldest written language used by the gods, are very much alike, we should not be surprised when Setswana is able to decipher that “ha va En” , now “heaven”,  means “place of the gods”! That, we can be sure, was/is its primary meaning.

Is it true that the gods originated in the heavens? The short answer is “yes”…and “no”. An ancient Sumerian text called the Enuma Elish (“Epic of Creation”), properly deciphered, explains why a large chunk of Earth is missing. Earth, it says, was originally called Tiamat and her orbit lay between Mars and Jupiter. Before she collided with another cosmic object some 250 million years ago (causing the so-called “Permian extinction” of geo-history), during which episode a large fragment of the planet, now Earth, broke off into a different orbit, the gods fled to nearby Mars…a planet they termed Na-hibiru (N’ibiru: the “Reddish One”) which, science has proved, once had plenty of oxygen and water.

When, later, Mars was also devastated, the gods returned to Earth as the ANU.NNA.KI (“[Those] From Heaven [Who] Stayed [on] Earth”). Here, they found a number of backward hominid species, and they selected the Cro-Magnon type to upgrade with their genes (“make him in their image”), specifically so that he could toil for them.

All this, of course, presupposes that gods were incredibly advanced millions of years ago and even knew space flight. Ridiculous? No. If the gods knew how to smelt aluminium 300 million years ago – as, for example, an intricately manufactured metal rail for gears found fossilised in coal suggests (aluminium ore, supposedly, could only be smelted with the advent of electricity in the 1800s), what else could they not do?  Indeed, if 4000 years ago, people had never seen a space rocket before how could they make a stunningly accurate sculpture of one – complete with astronaut? (See www.bibliotecapleyades.net for its exhibition at the Turkish History Museum). And rockets, we will find out, had everything to do with the well-guarded secret of the gods’ “immortality”.

One of the main tricks the gods used to appear as immortals to us was through a well-known phenomenon in the quantum science of space-time relativity: that acceleration and deceleration through space slightly bends time. As such, according to certain formulae, if a space-ship crew spent only a few years in an accelerating-decelerating spaceship, millennia could pass by in Earth-time! Rockets, then, were not only a means of escaping a planetary cataclysm; they were the very source of the gods’ immortality – which is why they were off-limits to all except the elite gods. In pre-Flood times, Eden (or rather E-di-En: “place of the gods”) was the forbidden area where they were located. The “e”, as in Nguni, points to a place: e.g. e-khaya (home).

Let me also clarify, using Setswana, that the proper meaning of “paradise” is not “an idyllic place, a utopia”. Phara-disa, Setswana unpacks for us, means “guarded throughout”. Indeed, mythology talks of “a dreaded beam that swept across DIL.MUN” as Eden was alternatively called. This, of course, referred to a laser beam – the very same “flaming sword” wielded by angels in Genesis 3:24. It was employed to scare off curious “mortals” away from the rockets: the immortality-granting “tree of life” (Genesis 3:22) they must never taste…

The biblical metaphor of “tree” emanated from another means of attaining “immortality”. Actually, the gods had two elite but rival clans, the Enlilites and the Enkiites. The clan symbol of the Enkiites, now the universal symbol for medicine, comprised two intertwined snakes coiled around what looks like a rod with wings, but could be a stem with leaves. These “snakes in the tree of life” evidently represented the double-helix of chromosomes. Indeed, one of the genes in the chromosome controls longevity and evidently the gods knew where it was located but this, again, was off-limits to “mortals”.

Sumerian mythology, which far predates Genesis, clarifies that Enki, leader of the Enkiites, was the “snake” that “lied” to mankind that they, too, could be as knowledgeable as the gods. But it was Enlil, leader of the Enlilites, who treated this as betrayal of the gods’ privileged hegemony. In Greek mythology, Enki was Prometheus: a god banished from Olympus for stealing “fire” (enlightenment) from the gods and giving it to mankind. Ultimately, EN.KI’s name, which in Sumerian is “Lord of Earth” (or “Ea-Baal”, meaning the same) was slanderously vilified by Enlilite propaganda, and De-Ea-Bel (Diablos, Devil) is now a made-up, catch-all embodiment of evil. Heaven, too, and the “immortality” it conferred, was long placed out of reach of “mortals” since Eden and a theological “heaven” later espoused instead. Next week, we explore where this Heaven, as currently understood, really is.
