Ruling on protests expected next week

The case between Sankoyo Bush Bucks and FC Satmos has since put the relegation on hold with the National Appeals Board (NAB) expected to make a ruling next week.

Both Satmos and Notwane are in precarious situation and are waiting with bated breath the NAB’s decision, which is likely to have an impact on the log standings.

Satmos lie 14th with 29 points while Notwane has 31 points in position 13.

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) disciplinary committee (DC) had awarded Satmos three points and two goals following their protest over the use of Morris Ruzivo by Sankoyo.

Satmos had argued that Rudzivo was improperly registered and therefore be declared a defaulter.

Sankoyo have since appealed the decision and awaiting NAB decision on the matter.

The NAB met on Monday to deliberate on the matter but the ruling is yet to be made.

This has since put the Botswana Premier League in a dilemma since they cannot make a decision as to whether FC Satmos join Letlapeng and ECCO City Greens or they play a decider with Notwane.

Letlapeng have also appealed the decision of BFA DC where they fined Chiefs for the use of Pontsho Moloi having accumulated three yellow cards.

Letlapeng argue that the punishment is not sufficient and want Chiefs to be docked points.

Their appeal was heard on Tuesday and the judgement has also not been made despite Chiefs being declared Champions.
