Rollers took the lead in the first minute, after Masego Koboto headed in the ball after her striking partner, Bame Ngenda chipped the ball over advancing goalkeeper, Marylin John. Rollers nearly doubled the lead in the third minute, but Ngenda’s header went over the bar.

Rollers controlled most of the play with midfielders Amogelang Moahi and Tlamelo Rametlae getting the better of their opponents. Gosego Koboto was problematic for Sisters’ defence and in the 42nd minute, she found Ngenda unmarked in the box.

The striker wasted no time in doubling Rollers’ lead. At half-time, Rollers lead 2-0. For minutes after the re-start, Gosego laid a pass to Ngenda to bag her brace with a low shot past advancing John. Sisters pressed for a consolidation goal through Oratile Telekelo and Tshepo Germond, but the Rollers defence was uncompromising. In the 67th minute, Masego Koboto nearly got a brace but her shot hit the upright. Moahi showed some good skills, dribbling through the Sisters’ defence and unleashing a long effort that went off the post.

The winning coach, Gaolethoo ‘Ronaldo’ Nkutlwisang said he was pleased with her team’s performance throughout the season. “It is a great achievement for me and for a woman coach to win the league,” she said. She wants to recruit a striker and midfielder to beef up the squad in the next campaign. Rollers finished the league undefeated, winning 20 games and drawing two.
