The much talked about 14-year old blunder happened in February while she was interviewing rap group S.E.G at the Makgasa party. When introducing the rappers she said, “they have been in the game for 14 years since 2005.”

A few days after the programme aired, an edited video meme of her making the blunder made it on Facebook and obtained 15,000 views.

Speaking to Showbiz, the young vibrant TV personality said that the blunder has even given her more confidence while on screen despite a number of people still making fun of her on the streets and online. “Everywhere I go people refer to me as the ‘14 years girl’, while some have decided to call me ‘14 years’,” she said. She added that she does not take it personally and laughs along when people make the ‘14 years’ a joke.  Reetsang said after her blunder she was never scared or embarrassed to go back on screen.

“It actually gave me more confidence to excel since I do what I love,” she said.

The 21-year-old TV presenter was quick to deny that after the ‘14 years’ blunder she was demoted to be part of the production team following a citing of her carrying a camera during this year’s Summer Explosion.

“Since I am studying broadcasting I am also helping out at work so I gain more exposure,” she said. Reetsang has since discovered a new skill.  She emcees at events. Her first and recent gig was during the Rep Your Label Invasion Party, which was held at Dros a few weeks ago.

The young TV personality who is also an actress has plans of hosting her own TV show in the foreseeable future.
