ATI records sophomore album

The flamboyant star, who was born Atlasaone Molemogi, last released a studio album. Poloa Motho, two years ago, which included hit tracks such as Ke Lekhethe and Otsididi.

The rapper told Showbiz that he is currently in the studio working with a number of musicians and producers such as Favi, Spryt, Lif Aman and RRisq on his sophomore album Envelope, which he said would be released this year.

He described the sound and structure of his upcoming album as “relaxed and for the first time, more feel-good.”

He added that the delay to release was caused by a number of factors, which include lack of motivation and ‘writer’s block’.

In between his first album and the upcoming one, he featured in a number of tracks by artists such as Samba T, DJ Kuchi and Spiza Valentino.

As a build up to the release of Envelope, ATI will be dropping a new single titled Cassette on June 10, which is the second single from the album after Kha Ching.

“Cassette takes a walk through the experiences that most people involuntarily reflect on, such as their years of discovery, it also calls on all generations to merge and exchange life dynamics,” he explained.

The rapper, who recently staged an epic performance at the Summer Explosion, has already started promoting his upcoming single, with the latest promotion being a graffiti portrait created by artist KweziDidIt.
