Wesbank Botswana international air show returns

Multitudes of aviation enthusiasts, and eager members of the public, will make their way to the Kgatleng District looking to be a part of the exciting annual show.

Organised by the Matsieng Trust, the Wesbank Botswana International Air Show has earned a reputation as one of the biggest in Africa, in 2014, attracting both participants and spectators from as far as Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia. In partnership with Wesbank Botswana, a subsidiary of FNB Botswana, Matsieng Trust uses the platform to raise funds for charitable organisations, while bringing together the community for a fun-filled family day marked by aerobatic air flips and stunts.

FNBB Director of Marketing and Communications, Bomolemo Selaledi said, “We are honoured to be working yet again with Matsieng Trust, and to be part of an event that further highlights Botswana on the international scene. With previous instalments of the Air Show such a phenomenal success, we’re looking forward to bringing attendees an even more impressive experience this year, and encourage all to come out and show their support.”

The highlight from the 2014 show included a para-gliders, aerobatics, a triple inverted parachute drop, exhibition of aircrafts and motors, this year’s show promises to be even more thrilling.

“This is not only an opportunity for us to showcase Wesbank’s offerings as a leading vehicle and assert financier. Indeed, it is a platform for us to better engage with members of the community and strengthen vital relationships with the extended family and friends of the Bank, whilst also establishing new ones,’” concluded Ms. Selaledi. “We welcome all to attend for a great day out, helping make a charitable difference to our greater community.”

The Wesbank International Air Show is open to all members of the public, and tickets are available at Pharma Lulu (West Gate and Phakalane ), SuperSpar (Airport Junction, Village and Kgale) for P80 adults and P50 children (6 to 17 years).
