During the listening session of his latest album Tsotlhe Di Lokile at the Big Five Lodge on Friday, Leteane said that all along he put his faith in god.

“People could see there was something wrong with me and whenever I was asked I would just say all is well because I knew if I kept my faith that through God’s help I would pull through and here I am today,” he said. Leteane’s last album was nine years ago after which his career took a serious knock and he went into oblivion.

But after a long absence the musician seems to have regained his steam with the new album. Speaking at the event Radio Botswana presenter Lesego Mohutsiwa, said he had seen Leteane grow from a young keyboard player during his early days with The Saints to a mature musician that he is today.

“As a presenter I do not just play local music for the sake of supporting locals. The music should be of good quality and I have to say Matheke has been one of those who have earned my respect,” he said.

Pastor Michael Gaotlogwe also noted the importance of taking time when composing music.

“Instead of always complaining that your music is not being played put more effort in your work. Music should not just be music, it should inspire and heal,” he said.
