In danger of going down: Motlakase, Notwane and Satmos face crucial two weekends to save their Premier League stay

A six pointer is on the cards in Serowe where Notwane visit Motlakase while Satmos face dethroned champions, Township Rollers also in Serowe tomorrow.

Chouka and Toronto will get the ball rolling in the afternoon before the evening encounter between Popa and the Cheetahs.

Motlakase is 12th on the log with 33 points while Notwane are 13th with 31 points. Satmos occupy the remaining relegation spot on 26 points.

Letlapeng and ECCO City Greens have already been relegated.

Of the three, Chouka stand a better chance of survival as they only need three points to deliver themselves from this conundrum.

In their last fixture, Motlakase play in-form BR Highlanders.

On paper though, the odds favour the Toronto Boys that seem to be a hoodoo team for both Motlakase and Satmos whom they will battle in the last fixture.

Notwane has managed to beat Motlakase on three occasions and drew twice in their past five encounters. In the last four, they played against Satmos they won three and lost only once.

Chouka captain, Jomo Bolofete said the boys are upbeat and their preparations are going on as usual, but they are aware of the challenge before them.

“We are working closely as everyday in our training our motivation has not changed, we still want to survive.

“Our next two games are important for us; we need the maximum points from both. We always play well against Notwane, but results never favour us and we will go into this game with that in mind,” Bolofete said.Meanwhile, Notwane interim coach, Fabian Zulu said they are in a do-or-die situation and their next game is like a cup final. “This is the time when we need to talk to our players and motivate them. This is like a cup final to us.

“Our preparations are good. We expect Motlakase to come at us, as they want to avenge past defeats. It will be difficult for us and our players, but God willing, we will get the results,” Zulu said. Satmos on the other hand have a mountain to climb as they have to dig deep to get a result against Popa. The Selebi-Phikwe side has never beaten Rollers since their promotion. If Satmos lose, they are destined for the First Division.
