Local comedians together with South African renowned funny man, Thapelo ‘Tips’ Seemise, thrilled them with jokes.

The stand-up comedian also known as Shampoo made the show a night to remember with his endless jokes.  He made references on presidents, women and men’s behaviour and love issues. He also gave theories on everyday life making comedy lovers laugh.

“If I was ugly, I would not be poor. I would donate myself to an institution or even a museum so that people can see me with money. If you are ugly, you can even go to the extent of asking someone to make a bet to kiss you or if she or he fails has to give you $500.  Believe me you would be filthy rich,” he said.

He also made jokes about churches and different tribes.  Shampoo said that Batswana liked copying other people’s languages ‘even though they know that their tongue is programmed to speak only two languages’, being Setswana and English.

Local comedian Master P had to leave the stage half way through his performance.  A fight at the entrance disrupted his performance where a certain man had to be handled by security after he caused havoc demanding a refund.  The man did not want to continue sitting through the show. Master P’s few jokes about tribes and the police failed to attract the audience attention as some decided to go outside and see what was happening.

One of Botswana’s funniest from Gabane, Oefile ‘Mawee’ Mokgware, made jokes about SA artists stealing his name and creating a song with it.

He asked the DJ to play him the song as he proudly danced along in turn making the crowd sing along.

Mawee made jokes about the recent Thamaga gang events saying that out of his research he found that the police made it hard for people to report Matsetsenkane and Merubisi gangs.

He made jokes about his ex-girlfriends and his current girlfriend.

Rib Cracker’s lame and explicit jokes seemed to bore the audience.  People were leaving one by one while many waited patiently for Shampoo to come back and treat them to his refreshing comedy. The audience was also treated to wine tasting.
