Magosi are within a point from being crowned champions, while the Cheetahs are deep in a relegation bog.

Cheetahs’ captain, Ronnie Legoreng said they are going to fight tooth and nail to preserve their status in the elite league.  “We cannot allow Chiefs to clinch the title at our expense.

We are in need of maximum points in all our games.  “We have not given up because we know we are still in with a chance.  “Our preparations are well on course and it is easy to anticipate our opponent’s game plan.

They need this game to win the league, therefore, they will be very offensive.  “All we need is to absorb the pressure and make sure we do not concede. We are optimistic we will score.

We never fail to score against them anyway,” Legoreng quipped matter-of-factly.  Legoreng said they hope Notwane drops at least three points in their coming two fixtures against Orapa United and Motlakase Power Dynamos.  They also hope they (Satmos) collect three points in their next two encounters against Magosi and Popa.  These are the two insurmountable obstacles standing in the way of Satmos in its bid to avoid demotion. Meanwhile Satmos mentor, Kenneth Mogae admitted his charges are in a precarious position but said they will not throw in the towel just yet.

“It will take a lot of effort, but we are working very hard to survive. Football is unpredictable. There are still three games to go and we will do everything we can. “These guys have played Chiefs before and they won.  I am not going to change anything in terms of preparations.

“We will work on our physical aspect and mental strength.

These games need players to focus the whole 90 minutes and our mission is to prepare the boys not to switch off because they play very well,” said Mogae. Satmos meet Chiefs at the Molepolole Sports Complex tomorrow afternoon.
