La Timmy plans surprise release

Born Timothy Sebuta, the disc jockey told Showbiz that he finished working on a new track titled Na Nkandi, which he is set to release next month. “I am not announcing the date release. It will come as a surprise on different social network platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Sound Cloud,” he explained.
He, however, hinted that the track might be released in the first week of May.
The DJ, who is proud of his native home Kasane, mentioned that like his previous hit track Nanzala, Na Nkandi is in Sesubiya. Na Nkandi is a conscious house track.
On the new track, La Timmy worked with Team Distant vocalist Roy K who was on the production side. “I decided to work with Roy K because he has great expertise and he understands my sound,” La Timmy said.
“Na Nkandi is a Sesubiya female name. Generally the song talks about a guy who is worried about his girlfriend’s changing tendencies upon moving from the village to the city for greener pastures,” he said, when explaining the storyline in the song. He revealed that Na Nkandi is a build up to his compilation album, Izimbo Zangu that means ‘My Songs’ in Sesubiya. The album will be released during the last quarter of the year. La Timmy, who recently performed at Maitisong Festival ,said Izimbo Zangu would be a compilation of both his upcoming and old singles such as Nanzala.
The artist, who is under his own recording label Beat Mechanics, mentioned that he is working on improving his live acts by adding live instruments.
”Besides me being on the decks and playing drums, I will be working with guitarist Kabo Leburu and a few instrumentalists,” he told Showbiz. La Timmy recently worked with veteran DJ Kuchi on a track called Mosa. He is currently the resident DJ at Btv music show, Flava Dome.
