His ecstatic performances on the music reality TV show were always the talk of the town. After attaining third position on My Star the artists who was thought to be one of the favourites did not lose hope. He continued to follow his dream. After My Star the then RnB singer went to work on his solo career.  His first attempt was the controversial Boys In Heels track, which he released on social networks and later received airplay on radio stations.  Motswafere went on to do a couple of cover tracks with former My Star contestant, Kennedy.  After a two-year silence, Motswafere came back with a new mature sound. He released a jazz single titled, Paralle. He went on to launch a campaign called Support Local Music, which aims at developing and marketing local music.

Peach

After trying out his luck on My Star a number of times, the pint-sized musician established a huge fan base, including a number of renowned musicians. This gave him the opportunity to work as a back up vocalist for Samantha Mogwe while nurturing his career.

As a back up vocalist he featured at a number of events such as the Fete De La Musique and Botswana National Sport Council (BNSC) Awards.

Early last year, he surprised his fans by announcing that he would be releasing his debut self-titled urban contemporary album. He worked with veteran producer Qbio and featured super model Nature Inger, along with Tizzle and Zimbabwean musician, Tafnaz.  The launch of his album made headlines after he impressed South African trio Mi Casa, who were present at the Botswanacraft. His album has tracks such as Mosadi and Love Hate Thing.

Amo

After her sterling performances on My Star in 2012, which were mainly cheered on by the elderly, she went silent.   She made a return this year with a new single, Where Stars Hide.  The 21-year-old, who is in the process of recording an RnB single, is scheduled to share the stage with The Soil, Don Laka and Lizibo at Molapo Piazza on May 29.

She is looking forward to working with the likes of Elte and South African pop artist Menoa in her album.

Tizzle

The passionate musician did not make it to the final stages of the 2013 My Star edition as he was eliminated during the top 20 selection.  Despite the critics and comments from the judges, Tizzle did not loose hope as he continued to work at polishing his sound.

He also managed to establish a career as a music producer. He co-produced Peach’s album alongside Qbio. He also produced for the likes of ATI, Stagga and Scar. Last year he released a single titled Gold And Lucozade.  His latest offering is How Do You Fall Out Of Love.  Tizzle is in the process of building his own recording label called Studio Monkey.
