“We want to extend our greatest appreciation to Standard Chartered Bank for supporting us over the years,” Ndaba added.

Notwane Club vice president, Mothusi Lekalake said that the club has lost members due to lack of volunteerism.

“We lost members in the past few years due to the recent death of spirit of volunteerism,” Lekalake said. He emphasised the need for the spirit of volunteerism to resurface within the society.

Notwane Club will be reaching a golden milestone in its existence as a sporting giant in Botswana.

Notwane was formed in May 1964 and it was registered with the Register of Societies in 1965. It is one of the oldest sporting clubs in Botswana and one of the few  football clubs with a clubhouse in the country.
