The young entrepreneur- cum- musician told Showbiz that after a long period working in the music industry, his business partner A1 Keys advised him to work on some tracks upon discovering that Wrapper Saint has a good rap flow.

“I have always been a rapper, but I did not take it seriously until I sat down with A1 who advised me to take it seriously”, he said. Wrapper Saint, who has helped out and managed a number of young musicians such as Fio- Matt Halla and Wiz K, said he would be taking a small break as an executive producer and to focus on his new found talent, rap.

“I will be working on the administration side but at the moment I just want push my music,” he told Showbiz. His new track Gabs City, which was released early this month, features New Age Kid, an upcoming rapper. A1 Keys produced the track.

Wrapper Saint stated that the track is the first single of his debut mixtape, which he is yet to be named. The mixtape will be released in the last quarter of the year.

He said: “75 percent of the mix tape is trap music and the rest will be conscious rap,” he said. This was upon discovering that a number of hip-hop heads are listening to trap music and he decided to make relevant music. The mix tape will feature the likes Apollo D, Bouncy and Noello

Gabs City talks about how young people come from their respective hometowns such as Serowe, Lobatse and Selebi Phikwe to the capital city Gaborone to hustle for a better living. Gabs City has been receiving fair airplay on different radio stations. It is available for free downloads on ReverbNation.

The rapper gave A1 Keys thumbs up for producing the track and advised him to put more effort on his rap skill.
