Lansmore Fashion show gives designers platform to shine

The event was scheduled to take place at Lansmore hotel’s roof top and the decorations, lights, and music was splendid and top notch before the rain tried to spoil the excitement and fun. However, the organisers of the event had contingency plans as they decided to move the event into the hotel’s conference room where fashion enthusiasts waited patiently for the event to continue.

The event continued after about an hour of preparations. Even though Plan B décor was not as beautiful as the roof top decor, the crew tried their best to make the venue presentable. The runway was exceptional.

The event proceeded with the Poise showcase, which was interrupted by the rain.

Poise was showcasing its beautifully designed wedding gowns with some having touches of black laces, studs and some were decorated with silver lining and beads. The gentlemen paraded beautifully designed suits.

Poise also showcased attires for flower girls and the designs were breath taking and exquisite. Nasha Selelo’s men collection was eye catching, and the models showed a lot of skill when showcasing her designs.  Lesedi Matlapeng’s all white collection was one of the designs, which caught the audience’s attention. The models showcased beautifully designed jumpsuits and dresses as the audience nodded with admiration. South Africa’s Stacey Tobin of Miss Boss Couture did not want to be left behind. Her brilliantly designed dresses seemed to capture the audience’s attention, while local designer, Tankiso Mathware, of Priestly decided to add colour to the room with her colourful dresses.

Glenda Abram, a new player in the fashion industry decided to showcase her signatory collection, which comprised of male and female outfits.  Candida Tsheko’s designs were simply irresistible. Most of the clothing items she showcased were green, orange or both. Kaone Moremong, the founder of House of Kay decided to target couples. The young designer’s models paraded the runway with matching outfits.

One of the designers who stole the show and audience’s hearts was Mothusi Lesole of iZAURA whose collection got the audience talking. The young man, who has just entered the fashion industry, blew the audience away with his exquisite designs. His designs made the room roar in excitement as they watched models parading his designs.

Young designer, Aobakwe Molosiwa, did not disappoint. Mozambique designer, Taibo Barcar also showcased his designs, which were different from other designers. His designs were popular with the audience. Barcar prints his own material. The audience went home satisfied after a spectacular and top class fashion show ever.
