Tw0- goal hero, Manqoba Ngwenya launches another attack at BMC

The match, which was initially expected to be a tight contest, turned out to be a one-sided affair as Rollers ran riot over hapless Lobatse side.

BMC had just come off from holding log leaders, Mochudi Centre Chiefs last week and were expected to stage another fight, but found Rollers in high scoring mood.

Rollers were without most of their regular players in the starting line up.

Tshepo Motlhabankwe and Oscar Ncenga were both absent due to injuries while strikers, Jerome Louis and Jerome Ramatlhakwana sat on the bench. Lawrence Majawa was shifted from the midfield to the heart of the defence because of Ncenga and Motlhabankwe’s absence.

They took the lead as early as the ninth minute through Segolame Boy.

Otlantshekela Mooketsi had delivered a good ball into the box and Motsholetsi Sikele set up Boy who tapped past BMC goalkeeper, Katlego Mbise. Two minutes later, Sekhana Koko doubled the lead with an easy tap-in from Kobamelo Kebaikanye.  BMC looked disjointed and struggled to contain the likes of Kebaikanye and Manqoba Ngwenya.

They nearly pulled one back in the middle of the first half with Rollers goalkkeper, Mwampule Masule seemingly beaten.  However, Majawa was at the right position at the right and managed to clear the danger.

Ngwenya took a shot at goal and BMC goalkeeper failed to handle it and Koko scored his second goal of the match with another easy tap-in.

Boy nearly made it 4-0 before half time, but his shot hit the upright with BMC now in shambles.  Just three minutes into the second half, Rollers were awarded a penalty after Boy was hackled inside the box, but BMC goalkeeper made a good save denying Ngwenya.   However, Ngwenya managed to beat Mbise moments later, this time from open play with a cool finish.

Ngwenya was at it again, scoring his second goal of the match in the 65th minute with another intelligent finish. Monametsi Tsapoga scored a consolation goal for BMC with 10 minutes remaining.
