Woman beats ex-boyfriend, causes serious injuries

The police say the attack happened over the Easter holidays.  Inspector Molebatsi Chingabe of Moshupa Police said the incident happened when the victim went to harass the 28-year-old suspect at her home.

He said the suspect called the police but the victim ran away before he could be arrested.

He came back to the ex-lover’s place after the police left and that is when the woman stabbed him on the head with a sharp object suspected to be a slasher or butcher knife.

He was rushed to the hospital where he is admitted with serious injuries. Police investigations are ongoing after the suspect was released from custody.  Chingabe said they are also investigating a case in which a 20-year-old man of Jerusalema ward in Moshupa was attacked by a group of boys at Lesototo lands in the outskirts of the village.

He said the victim went for entertainment at the lands in the evening when he was stabbed with a knife on the upper left arm.

Chingabe said the victim was treated for minor injuries and released the same day while the suspects are still at large.

Moshupa police say a 22-year-old woman has been reportedly raped at Mamemeru lands near Ralekgetho village.

It is alleged that the victim was walking with her boyfriend from Pitseng village when they were attacked by the suspect who scared the boyfriend with a knife.

He said when the boyfriend ran for his life, the suspect raped the woman.

The suspect is still at large and investigations are ongoing.
